MoxiWorks Alternatives for CMA and Listing Presentations

Most people searching this don't dislike MoxiWorks. They want the presentation tool without the platform wrapped around it — which is a sizing problem, not a quality one.

Short answer

MoxiWorks is a strong suite aimed at brokerages of roughly 150 agents and up, with the CMA typically bundled into enterprise deals that assume adoption of the wider platform. If you're smaller than that, or you only want the CMA, the alternatives split by what you're replacing: BoldTrail if you want another full suite, Cloud CMA if you want per-seat presentations, per-report tools if you want firm-consistent output with no contract, and RPR or your MLS if the budget is zero.

What you'd be replacing

Worth being accurate — this is a capable product and the reason to look elsewhere is usually fit rather than quality.

MoxiWorks bundles an intranet, MoxiPresent (CMA and listing presentation, building from templates with local data plus dynamic media like embedded sites, video and slideshows), marketing tools, and agent retention and recruitment tooling — all in one suite.

Their published claim: agents fully utilizing the CMA platform saw 93% higher sales volume and 77% more annual transactions than those without. Treat that with normal vendor skepticism — "fully utilizing" is doing heavy lifting, since agents who thoroughly adopt any productivity tool tend to be the more organized and active ones to begin with. The causation plausibly runs backwards.

We've argued separately that bundling CMA with retention tooling is a genuine product insight rather than an accident. The disagreement isn't with the logic — it's with the size of commitment required to act on it.

Why people search for an alternative

ReasonWhat you actually need
Too big for our brokerageA tool with a lower floor — per-seat or per-report

These lead to genuinely different answers, so it's worth knowing which row you're in before comparing anything.

The alternatives

BoldTrail — the like-for-like suite

The closest direct comparison if you want the whole platform from someone else. Splits into a front-office CRM for agents and BackOffice for brokerage administration — transaction management, commission tracking, onboarding, compliance.

Consider if: you're replacing multiple systems and want one vendor.
Skip if: the CMA is the only thing that's broken — you'd be repeating the original problem with a different logo.

Cloud CMA — per-seat presentations

The best-known dedicated CMA and listing presentation tool, around $49/month per user. Strong templates, well-established, genuinely good at what it does.

Consider if: you have high-volume individual producers who'd use it constantly.
Skip if: you want firm-level brand control — it's licensed and branded per user, which is a partial answer to a brokerage consistency problem. Break-even math in our Cloud CMA comparison.

RPR — free with NAR membership

Included with membership, covers property data and basic report generation at no additional cost. Genuinely useful and genuinely free.

Consider if: budget is the binding constraint, or usage is occasional.
Skip if: you need firm-level consistency — "free" here means a login habit, a learning curve, and output you can't standardize centrally. Trade-offs in free CMA tools vs. paid.

MLS-native tools — included with dues

Quality varies enormously by MLS. Some are excellent; some produce something you'd rather a seller never saw.

Consider if: yours is one of the good ones — check before assuming either way.
Skip if: you operate across multiple MLS areas, since output will differ by market.

Per-report tools — no subscription

Pay per report produced, with firm-level white-label branding and no contract. This is our own category, so weigh accordingly.

Consider if: volume is uneven across the roster, you want consistent branded output, and you don't want a platform migration.
Skip if: your roster genuinely produces 500+ reports a year — at that volume a subscription is cheaper per unit and we'd tell you so.

Sorted by brokerage size

SizeLikely best fitWhy
1–10 agentsRPR / MLS-native, or per-reportNo procurement overhead worth carrying
10–50 agentsPer-report, or selective Cloud CMA seatsConsistency matters; enterprise doesn't fit
50–150 agentsPer-report at scale, or a suite if replacing several systemsThe genuine judgment call
150+ agentsMoxiWorks or BoldTrailYou're the intended customer — the suite math works

The 50–150 band is where this gets interesting and where most of the searching happens. Big enough that consistency across the roster genuinely matters, not always big enough that enterprise procurement and rollout are worth the disruption.

The honest test: are you replacing four systems, or one deliverable? Suites are good value for the first and expensive for the second.

Adoption is the risk nobody prices

Whatever you pick, this is where these purchases actually fail — and it's worth stating because it cuts against buying the biggest thing.

A tool an agent chose gets learned. A tool handed down as part of a platform migration they didn't ask for gets used reluctantly and complained about generously. That's the same operational friction the purchase was meant to remove, reintroduced by the fix.

The test to run on any candidate, including ours: have your most skeptical producer build one report cold, untrained, while you watch. If it beats their current method on the first attempt, adoption looks after itself. If it needs a training session and two weeks to reach parity, most of your roster will quietly carry on as before. Fuller checklist in the brokerage CMA software buyer's guide.

Before you migrate anything

  1. Confirm what's actually broken. "The CMA takes too long," "output is inconsistent," and "we're not winning appointments" are three different problems with three different fixes.
  2. Count your real report volume. Listing appointments last quarter, not opportunities. This decides per-seat vs. per-report and almost everyone overestimates it.
  3. Check your existing contract. Notice windows, remaining term, seat-reduction rights.
  4. Price the switch honestly. Contract remainder, rollout, retraining, and the productivity dip during transition all count.
  5. Pilot with skeptics. Enthusiasts were never the adoption risk.

The bottom line

MoxiWorks isn't a bad product with a queue of people fleeing it. It's a large-brokerage platform that a lot of smaller brokerages evaluate, correctly conclude is more than they need, and then struggle to find a properly-sized alternative to — because most of the market is built either for the individual agent or for the enterprise, with comparatively little in between.

Work out which row of the table you're in first. If you're 150+ and replacing a stack, the suite math genuinely works and you should buy one. If you're 30 agents wanting your comp reports to look like they came from one firm, that's a much smaller purchase than anyone is trying to sell you.

Frequently asked questions

What are the best MoxiWorks alternatives?

For a full suite, BoldTrail is the closest like-for-like. For the CMA and listing presentation specifically, Cloud CMA is the main per-seat option and per-report tools are the main no-subscription option. RPR and MLS-native tools cover basic needs at no extra cost for members.

Why do brokerages look for a MoxiWorks alternative?

Most commonly size and scope. MoxiWorks is positioned for brokerages of roughly 150 agents and up, and its CMA is typically included in larger enterprise deals that assume broader adoption of the surrounding platform. Smaller offices end up buying more platform than they need to fix one deliverable.

Is Cloud CMA a good MoxiWorks alternative?

For an individual high-volume agent, yes. For a brokerage wanting consistent firm-level branding across a roster it is a partial answer, because it is licensed and branded per user rather than centrally controlled at firm level.

Can you buy MoxiPresent on its own?

It is generally sold within the broader MoxiWorks platform rather than as a standalone product, with the CMA typically bundled into larger enterprise agreements. Any current standalone availability and pricing should be confirmed with the vendor directly.
